I am privileged to serve as the President of Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and welcome you to our Chapter website on behalf of the resolute members who have served the Tampa Bay community with distinction for over 81 years.
Since Gamma Theta Omega Chapter’s inception on December 7, 1940, the organization remains a beacon of light in the Tampa Bay community, providing a host of relevant and impactful programs of service to children, youth and families. With over 300 members, Gamma Theta Omega serves the community with purpose and passion under the dynamic leadership of International President Dr. Glenda Glover. In addition, Gamma Theta Omega Chapter is home to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.’s 28th International President, Attorney Carolyn House Stewart and 17th South Atlantic Regional Director Marsha Lewis Brown who both served with distinction and honor. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.’s International Program theme is Exemplifying Excellence through Sustainable Service. Program Targets include: Target 1 - HBCU For Life: A Call to Action, Target 2 - Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, Target 3 - Building Your Economic Legacy, Target 4 - The Arts! and Target 5 – Global Impact In addition, Gamma Theta Omega Chapter is committed to addressing the ever evolving community-identified needs of the Tampa Bay community through implementing relevant and impactful programming throughout the year.
