President 2020-2021
Greetings!
Welcome to the website of Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. We are 300 members strong, striving to impact the lives of our members and communities.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded by nine students led by Ethel Hedgeman (Lyle) on the campus of Howard University on January 15, 1908. Her vision was to organize an African American Women’s Greek lettered organization to serve mankind.
After 112 years of service, we are still growing and meeting the needs of others locally and internationally under the dynamic leadership of International President Glenda Glover. In addition, Gamma Theta Omega Chapter is home to Former International President Attorney Carolyn House Stewart and Former Regional Director Marsha Lewis Brown who have all served superbly.
Members of Gamma Theta Omega Chapter are creative, innovative and scholarly. We are guided by an ongoing commitment to serve the under-resourced residents of Tampa, Florida and all mankind.
