Happy Thanksgiving Sorors And Happy Birthday Pearl Soror Demoris!
The Chapter is in sympathy with Soror Cheryl Byrd Washington in the loss of her Aunt, Annie Laura Jelks. The funeral will be on Saturday, November 25th at New Mt. Zion MB Church, 2511 East Columbus Dr., Tampa, at 1:00 pm. The wake will be Friday, November 24th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Harmon Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
The 2024 TOBA breakfast is scheduled for January 15, 2024. We are also being asked to provide volunteers to serve as hostesses. If you are interested in serving as a Hostess, kindly let me know by December 4th.
Our Christmas under the Stars event for the community is planned for December 16th. Chapter Members are being asked to donate Candy, books, toys for children 12 and under, and Gift Cards in increments of $10 and $20 dollars for the older children. Contact Soror Sheila Padgett, at 813-789-6291 to make your donations.
Registration is now open for the Florida AKA Day at the Capitol event, scheduled for January 24th. Please register using the link provided by the region and contact Soror Sheila McCants, Connections and Social Actions Committee Chairman to reserve your seat on the Chapter Bus.
