Are you aware of anyone interested in an accelerated pathway program, particularly for Black males?
Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College offer an accelerated pathway program. Students complete three years at TSU and then continue to Meharry Medical College to earn their MD or DDS degree in just seven years, instead of the traditional eight years.
The Dr. Levi Watkins Jr. Institute is currently seeking qualified male high school seniors for their upcoming cohort. If you know any young men who aspire to become medical doctors or dentists and meet the following criteria, they should apply:
Requirements:
- 3.5 GPA
- Achieve a 28 ACT score (or a 1310 SAT score)
- Be a high school senior
Benefits:
- Receive a full scholarship covering tuition, maintenance fees, program and service fees, and course-related fees
- Stay in a double occupancy on-campus residence hall with an all-access meal plan
- Access MCAT/DAT preparation with mentorship from Meharry professors, current students, and alumni
- Conditional acceptance to Meharry Medical College upon meeting program benchmarks
