Cisco Women in Technology is opening applications for our virtual High School Summer Coding Bootcamp (due by June 2). If you know any high school students that are interested in spending a week gaining coding experience, please have them apply (link down below). Open to everyone regardless of coding experience.
This Bootcamp is presented by Cisco Women in Technology and is a one-week free virtual program. It is designed to give students the chance to be mentored by professionals and get hands on experience in programming. The curriculum focuses on 3 levels - beginner, intermediate, and advanced computer science projects. The program is open to all high school students, regardless of their programming experience.
Students will:
· Complete self-paced projects with the help of a mentor
· Gain exposure to Python, Javascript, and Git
· Receive mentoring by a tech professional
· Demo projects at end of program
· Attend professional development workshops
Eligibility Requirements:
· US high school students
· No prior coding experience required, but assume participants will have their own laptop, reliable internet
· Demonstrate an interest in and motivation for studying computer science
· Be able to attend 10:00am - 4:00pm PT daily with 1 hour lunch break
