6/20 Announcements
Today is the day that the NAACP Stay Woke Bus Tour will stop in Tampa. This is a Votercade and a voter registration push event led by the John Lewis Make Good Trouble Bus.
GTO will participate in both parts of the event. Sorors who wish to participate in the Votercade should arrive at the staging location by 4:30 pm wearing pink & green along with something that will identify your vehicle as AKA.
The Votercade will be staged at Teamsters Union #79, 5818 MLK, Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL.
We need Sorors at the voter engagement event at the
Cyrus Green Center, 2101 E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL.
We will hand out snacks and water and, most importantly, direct people on registering to vote by providing them with access to When We All Vote.
Sorors should arrive at the Center by 5:30 pm. Please wear your Pink & Green and bring a lawn chair.
Prayers are requested for Pearl Soror Deloris E. Lewis who has been hospitalized at Tampa General Hospital. No visitation is allowed at this time.
Prayers are also requested for Soror Shirley Parker who has been hospitalized at St. Joseph’ s Hospital.
