The Community Service and Sisterly Relations Committees will host a MLK Day of Service event at the Trinity Cafes in Tampa tomorrow from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
We currently have enough volunteers for the Nebraska location but if you would like to volunteer to serve lunch at the Busch Avenue location (2202 E Busch Blvd Tampa FL, United States 33612), please contact me by 2pm today.

The minimum age to volunteer at Trinity Cafe is 16 years old.
Here are some important reminders to help you best prepare for your time with us:
1.Given the recent change in CDC guidelines, masks are now optional across our volunteer opportunities. Masking and social distancing (when able) continue to be strongly suggested for all who have compromised immunities, health concerns or are unvaccinated.
2. Attire: In consideration of your safety, volunteers MUST wear flat, closed-toe shoes. You should also avoid wearing tank tops; sleeveless or short-cut shirts (crop tops); and short-shorts. If these guidelines are not followed, volunteers will be asked to reschedule their shift.
3. Parking: Trinity Cafe 2, a program of Feeding Tampa Bay, is located inside the First Church of God located at the corner of Busch Blvd. & 22nd Street. Turn into the parking by entering the 2nd (north) entrance on 22nd street. Park in the rear (north) of the church through the eastern (uncovered) door. The dining room is located to the right down the hall.
4. Arrival time: Please arrive no earlier than 10:30am and no later than 11:00am for lunch. The Volunteer Captain will check you in, make assignments, and conduct orientation prior to service.
5. Cancellation: If you must cancel for any reason, sign into your account and simply cancel your shift "BY CLICKING REMOVE ME NEXT TO THE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY. If you need to cancel a group of 5 or more, please email us at volunteer@feedingtampabay.org or call 813-492-7812. It is important to cancel shifts ASAP, so we can fill your space. We rely on volunteers to operate efficiently.
6. Community service hours accepted for school/work requirements ONLY. You must bring a form with the school/work logo on it to be signed the day you volunteer. The daily volunteer coordinator or a cafe staff member are authorized to sign
7. We are NOT ABLE to accept court-mandated hours at any Trinity Cafe locations.
8. We will have beverages and the necessary PPE available to you during your time with us.
9. If you and/or your team members have not filled out our online Liability Waiver, please do so using the link below. This is required for all volunteers before the start of the shift. Under your Upcoming Opportunities you have the option to remove yourself from the shift. We appreciate you taking these steps to ensure we have enough volunteers for each shift. We truly cannot accomplish our mission without the help of people like you.
